New Northern Virginia Tacoma Owner

    My 2000 Ford Ranger has been getting a little long in the tooth, so I figured it was time to get a replacement. It turned out that the 2021 Tacoma was the closest thing I could find with my original Ranger specifications (V6 engine, 4x4, manual transmission, 6 ft. bed, green color).

    So, I requested an allocation from my dealer, and the truck is being built today (Nov. 10th) in Mexico. If all goes well, it should be arriving in about a month. This is a TRD Sport in Army Green, with the Access Cab. I have already ordered a Leer cap, which should be arriving at about the same time. Then I have a long list of other modifications and additions. This forum has already been an invaluable source of information and advice. I hope to add some of my own experiences as this project progresses.

    I tend to keep my vehicles forever. So, whatever I spend on it now will be well spent.

    ETA: It was built yesterday. Scheduled date of arrival is Dec. 14. I am hoping to swap the scooped hood it comes with for a flat hood in equally new condition. (The dealer is being of no help in this, of course.)
