Lots of cosmetic upgrades, cause I’m a whore like that.
I'm sure this questioned has been answered somewhere on the site, but all of my searches came up empty.

I am now proud owner of some new 16" TRD beadlock's. My question is tire selection. I have a 2018 double cab shortbed with the stock suspension set up that I have no plans of changing.

Use is mostly street with some UP sand and mud tracks. Those with experience, what is the best tire size and brand/style?

(Best as in: no rubbing and least noisy)

Pretty common size that looks good and doesn’t generally cause rubbing issues is 265/75. As for brand, you’ll have to look around. Lots of options, tons of opinions.

265-75-16 on gunmetal TRD bead locks is what I run.

I get it. Decide what is most important to your driving needs and the look you want, and then you can narrow it down pretty quick.

I got the bead locks as they are OEM Toyota and with 265-75-16 they do not rub with stock suspension.

Toyo Open Country ATIIs, are damn good but the ATIII are 3peak winter rated which is better.

Oooh, I can play, with a photo drop.

I have the 2nd generation TRD Pro suspension with a Headstrong Off-Road rear AAL with the overload removed. I have the ubiquitious 265/75-16 BFG KO2 Load Range E. I had the tiniest rub reversing at weird road angles on my mudflaps at stock height that disappeared with a lift. If you don't run mudflaps, you will not rub. I had the same experience with my 2nd gen truck with the same wheels and tires both pre and post-lift.

I should have said pictures are a must, looks damn good.

I replaced the stock flaps with ROKBLOKZ flaps in anticipation of the beadlocks. Might have gained a .25" of clearance.

Been narrowing down the list of tires, and it looks like the BFG's are going to be the winner.

When I say rub, it was like a bi-weekly “oh, hmm” not an easily replicated thing. It was never enough to even given a second thought.

EDIT: if you’re not lifted I can picture spam more of my stock height shots if there’s an angle you want to see.
