Parking sensors

Someone tapped my back bumper and the cost of those parking sensors are insane! Do they make aftermarket ones that work with the system or do I really have to pay an arm and a leg for oem?

 

See, now this is why I did NOT want the "super fabulous" Technology Package on my new 2021 Taco TRD OR.
You pay dearly for it up front, get used to it, then it gets damaged and now you question the economic reality of making it good again.
Anyone familiar with Toyota parts knows how expensive it can get.

 

The person that tapped your bumper should be paying for them

 

They are but doing everything out of pocket and $190 for them seems insane

 

Well that’s on them. Next time they will make sure not to bump a taco. Why would you want to replace oem with aftermarket if you are not paying for it.

 

It was another taco and an accident. Off roading and the brakes just went to the floor. Don’t feel like giving a huge bill then having to get insurance claim for literally a cover and 2 sensors!

 

Do you actually use them? I didn't want the tech package but I had no choice if I was going to get the only MT on the lot. I checked out the parking assistant once and never pushed that button again. It's not that much of a help. The backup cam is totally sufficient for me.

 

Don’t that is why was looking for cheaper opts

 

that sucks.
