Who is everyone getting insurance through these days? I've just about had it with TD Meloche-take yo money-Monex. When I first got my '19 Taco insurance was actually $350cheaper than my '15 focus. In the last two renewals i have gone back to the same cost to the focus and now another $500 increase this year to nearly $2300. I have a pristine record for my nearly 2 decade driving career.

Do you have an agent, or are you shopping it out yourself? Because a good agent should be shopping all of your options every year when the policy comes due for renewal.
Mine just switched me to Oxford this fall, and it worked out to around $100 cheaper for the year. But they'll probably follow the same trend that my old company did, $25-50 a year until they price themselves out again. :notsure:

I'm in the states so not sure how different things are because of this.

I'm a 28 year old unmarried male with a (relatively) clean driving record. I pay about $430 every 6 months for my 20 TRDOR with StateFarm policy.

Just shopping around. Ive been with TD almost exclusively for pretty much ever. Typically end up doing some shopping around then bargaining back with TD every few years, but this is getting out of control now. You may have convinced me to go find an agent now.

Statefarm it’s a little more expensive, but they pay full retail if your vehicle is totaled.

If you're a veteran or related to one i suggest giving USAA a try. They've been fantastic and are saving my wife and I a ton of money on premiums. We insure three vehicles, my motorcycle and our home. Great customer service too. Had a $125,000 claim three years ago when a tree came down on our house. Agent came out next day and funds were being dispersed to the contractor a week later. Our rates were never raised and we received a dividend this year for $212 dollars. USAA for the win!

Insurance is a bit different in Canada, more rules, less competition and some places in the great white north Provinces actually run the Insurance company as a Provincial Crown Corporation...

I wished I lived in one of those Provinces! There are way to many people in Ontario for that. It might be interesting to see tho...anyone got Ford's cell?
My Taco didn't go up, but the wife's Merc jumped 350/year for absolutley no reason.

Perhaps if you get the job done through a proper agent, maybe things will work out for you. Shopping it out yourself might get you in some serious trouble. In an agent situation, though you have to pay some fee, all legal hassles can be easily covered quickly. You will be good to go in no time.

Been doing both and agents weren't doing much better, if at all. Finally settled on intact with as good or better coverage for 700 less.

I got the best deal from Gore Mutual for $87
A month for my 2002. I had TD insurance for my house and had to switch years ago because they jacked it so much every year. Seems to be harder to insure my 100 year old house than my 20 year old truck.

Gaebel Insurance out of Bancroft,Ontario. I pay 77.00 a month for my new 2021 TRD Sport Premium with the best coverage money can buy. This policy covers original replacement value for the first 3 years. I have a great driving record no tickets, accidents etc etc I guess my cruise control works good lol.

I've been with Intact broker for over 25 years. $214/month for full coverage of the Tacoma, MR2, RV and house.

I've had a clean record for over 30 years I won't change unless they give me a reason to.

I hate to tell you but you live in the worst area for accidents on the Queenies and pay for all those ass holes drivers. Move north of the 7 and you will see the insurance drop. Less population less accidents just saying
