Yeah, that one turned out to be somewhat of a Frankenstein. Added a shit load of reinforcement around the y pipe, hopefully it works. I also warped the plate a little, which is a bummer but it should straighten out once its bolted in. Rear skid is much cleaner, applied my lessons learned from the mid skid.

No, I just think red skids look cool for some reason

I should get a welding helmet that says that!

Got them both installed, and fortunately the mid plate straightened right out.

Y pipe running above the tranny skid

T-case skid bracket connected to Mobtown rockslider "C" clamp.

Might want to consider some tapered washers and flat-head screws like these. Pulling ground-down hardware is no fun.

The issue with those is if you mangle the head of the bolt, you're really fucked. If you mangle a normal bolt head, just grab it with some pliers.

If he really wanted to eliminate the issue, the tranny skid could be wrapped up 90 degrees and grab the cross-member bolts, much like the t case skid. That's what mine do. Just need to get longer cross-member hardware.

I haven't seen too many with the flat head bolt but those I have seen seem to slide over them pretty well. I've had bad experiences with protruding bolts in the past with my second gen so I was pretty happy to see my Jeep skids had the flat bolts and washers. Either way, I don't think it's anything a grinder can't fix. I just cut the head off and notched it and it was pretty easy to unscrew.

We’re gonna meet up with y’all In Harrisonburg. Probably gonna take @Tiny's Taco advice and remove the predator steps in the morning before we head out. Also @Hafaday if, by the grace of God, you see this before you leave could you pack the second compressor again? If not I’ll consider tomorrow leg day.

I'll have to check yours out tomorrow, I had thought about wrapping the rear ones but wasn't sure how to deal with the front ones because of the interface with the TRD front skid. I laid down a half circle of welding bead around the front bolts to act as a kind of ramp, but for some reason didn't think to do it for the back bolts.

Some of us have the dual arb that you are welcome to jump in on. I regularly inflate more than one vehicle on the way out. Shit is pretty quick

If you come back down with me, I'll get you with mine. I'm doing Switzer Lake on the return trip, I won't be hanging around too long with work tonight.
