I dont have IG and you need a google account to post to YouTube (don’t have that either). I’m living in the 1800s.

I have been seriously considering starting an IG account finally though because it’s becoming increasingly difficult to function online without one. Really more for my fabrication stuff than a personal account though. Advertise and build a portfolio outside TW.

    None... yet.
When I was a young novice, i.e. last year (lol!), I'd be inclined to shoot the gap out of there. Now that I'm older and (allegedly) wiser, I would do as Artruck advocates and slow my roll...

And either one of these would get the job done. Slow down and wait for the gap or speed up and shoot the gap. Or pull off on the shoulder and eat PB&J sandwich waiting for rush hour to thin out.

Installed the V&H exhaust last night. Directions left a little to be desired but YT videos clarified whatever ambiguity existed. Quality welds and workmanship as far as I can tell. Sounds great too... And holy shit loud.

Btw. Congrats on your soon-to-be little one.

Ear plugs are a must when riding. I know I have a threshold loss because of what I do for a living and I love loud music, so I don't need to accelerate the loss any more than I already am.

I prefer the foam because they're a single use/ride item and I don't like the idea of potential ear infections.

Nice bike... But you hoarding motor oil?!

    Wtf how

Same here for four bikes. I don't fucking understand this shit.

TST license plate bracket - the cheap-o $35 one: quality, sturdy, easy to install. It does the job. I'd get the little license plate light that actually adheres to the back of the license plate.

Blaster X integrated tail light - again, quality. Bright as hell. Lots of customizable functions if you're into that sort of thing.

Vance & Hines Hooligan Exhaust: read what I responded with to @J_Anthony_. It's ridiculously loud and I love it. Gonna need the ear plugs though.

I have to remind myself I can't do that when riding a bike with a whopping 14hp. Looking ahead and leaving myself an out becomes a lot more important.

Anything with an opposable thumb can twist a throttle...

Yeah, I'm not pleased about this.

I engine brake my street triple every ride. Saves pads and I also love the sound :). It also compliments corner entry braking if you are coming in a little too hot.

Engine braking is a normal part of driving any manual transmission vehicle. I do it everyday in my truck and with most bikes having a wet plate clutch it is even more appropriate to drop through the gears to slow down.

Naaa. It’s canceled. It’s been canceled for a bit now in Europe. Reading the article and my family live over the pond in England. And it’s true. No more R6.

The regulations are just not worth it anymore I guess. I jumped around multiple web pages too... sales are bad for Yamaha. And there’s no reason to just sell a R6 in North America. You have to do well on each side of the world if you originate in Japan. Same with any big vehicle company really. You must have good sales everywhere when you’re marketing a price savy machine for the population.

    However...
they are releasing a track only R6.. in 2021. Just snag that and throw some mirrors / license plate.

Got out and rode for the first time in a few days.

Took the CT90 down to the post office and back, about 4 miles, woooo! I think I have it dialed in close enough. I'm going to do a plug test one of these days and see if I need to go up one on the main, but the idle and needle seem to be in a good spot.

Then came home, got told by the fiance that she doesn't want to cook dinner and that I should go pick up a pizza, so took the BMW to do that haha.

    Short rides still count :bikewheelie2:

Finally found a headlight trim... this came today. Headlight is 5 3/4... this says 5.75....

it’s still slightly big. So I’m going to grind it down a bit tomorrow. Looks pretty good though. Way better than that chrome ring.

I am looking for something that isn’t obnoxiously loud. Also how the heck are you getting 14hp!?

I was wrong. Bad information. :(

It's ~9hp of single cylinder fury.

If I were to go quiet, Akrapovic or Yoshimura would be my choice. I went loud because I wanted the exhaust to be like my Grom: absurd.
