Had a Bombardier Super Scooper land here today. No pics, just happened to be outside and caught a glimpse of bright yellow thing coming in low. Thinking they are on their way home to Canada after being in Cali helping with the fires there.

I actually bought my Tacoma not long after Ahart. My truck will be 6 years old next week!
I really enjoyed my time as an instructor at Ahart (glad I don’t have to do it again).
    Welcome to TW!!

It went...COMPLETE mind challenge of new airplane, avionics, comms - then right into foggles at 800AGL. woof. Definitely saturation immediately after sitting down. Been improving the flows and checklists and briefings. Have a flight tomorrow and then a stage check.

    OMFG......NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the unique opportunity to meet Charles "Chuck" Yeager at USAFA twice.

    Soooooooooo.....

All I can say is this....

    'High Flight'
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
    And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things

You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high unsurpassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

    John Gillespie

RIP "Chuck" you inspired me and generations. I am sad but you will touch the face of GOD and please welcome the folks that tried to do what you did!
