Im a new member and I put a deposit down on a 2021 AG DCSB the first of September. Was expecting it to arrive mid November, no such luck. Was told there was a shipping hold on the vehicle due to lack of back seat production. Salesman said it’d be an additional 48 days. A few days later it was showing 36 days. Got a text yesterday that it was scheduled to arrive December 1st!!! Gonna trade my 2WD 18 sport in, which is kinda sad. First one I’ve ever owned. Paid 31.500 for it 2 years ago w/9500 miles. Allowing me 28750 for it on my trade w 60,000 miles now! No trouble with it
0F463DC1-05D5-4029-9F7A-59E13E62D875.jpg whatsoever! I’m blown away how these trucks hold their value and don’t think I’ll ever own any other make or model. Wanna see how the other half lives though in my new AG off-road 4x4 w/ premium off-road package and technology package! Can’t hardly wait but I hate to see my 1st love go. After nearly 3 months waiting to purchase a truck I’ve never seen before - it’s all about to go down.
Bittersweet. Anyone else with a similar story?

I placed an order (intercepted an allocation) for a 2021 TRD OR 6MT with premium and technology packages on September 21st. I was also supposed to take delivery in November and it was out on a quality hold with a new delivery date of 12/7-12/14. In the meantime I sold my 2006 Nissan Xterra 6MT which I owned since new and drove 305,000 miles. Definitely bittersweet — my kids grew up with that vehicle. When I told my daughter I was kind of sad because of all the memories we had made in the XTerra, she understood, but said that now I can look forward to making more good memories in the Tacoma. True enough.

    Nice rig.

And yeah....lot's of Toyota's N American plants are experiencing sporadic parts shortages. You can thank Covid for that.

Being an Army Vet, I was really excited to buy the Army Green Taco...until I saw it in person. The green was just too bright for my liking, I think it needs to be darker. Anyways, ended up going with the Cement color and I absolutely love it.

Yeah I get that. I like the brightness myself and how it’s a lot darker when it’s out of the direct sunlight.
    Thanks for your service :oldglory:

I too got an army green. From the time I spoke to the salesman and committed to the truck until I was able to pick it up was about 4-5 weeks. At one point the salesman called me to inform me the truck was in Chicago at the rail yard being held up due to a quality confirmation hold by Toyota. Fortunately, that lasted only about two weeks. When I went to pick up my truck, the salesman told me that the delay could have possibly lasted another month or more. I was fortunate that it wasn't because I am enjoying the truck immensely. Bets wishes in getting your truck soon.

Thanks- enjoy yours! We’ll have to start up an all army green thread soon! Dec 1 can’t come soon enough! I’m about an hour south of Atlanta and the salesman says mine will come into the port In Jacksonville Fla. I guess a lot could go wrong between where it is now and getting it here. Ready to get her In my garage! Take care brother

You guys get actually estimated delivery quotes? I ordered my AG Trd OR DCLB mid sebtember. Said early November delivery. Then mid November. And he says it’ll be here at the end of the month. Which is only a few more days. Lol. All he says is “it’ll be here end of month”. No specific window or anything.

Yeah man that’s what my salesman says. Maybe your guy knows the delay game all to well and doesn’t want to make a commitment that chances are will change? This is the 3rd Toyota I’ve bought from my guy and who knows- maybe he’s just trying to give me a little more insight? Either way there is a date they can all check. I just shoot him a text to check and see if anything has changed once a week. Good luck with yours brother- hope arrives sooner as opposed to later!!

I have worked with my guy in the past. I bought a Rav4 for my wife from him this past May. My guy was even good enough to text me a screenshot of his dealer daily dashboard which had a tab for the pipeline tracking of my vehicle when he informed me that it was on hold. He told me that he wanted me to now that he wasn't giving me a line of b.s. I appreciated that.
