I first noticed a pain at the bottom of my left tricep right above my elbow after I pushed myself off my bed. This was probably back in early to mid September. I haven't been in to a physician or therapist yet so I don't know if this is actually tendonitis or not but after doing some research there is not much evidence to believe that it isn't. I like to workout and lift weights and the worst exercises, pain wise are anything over head like lying triceps extensions, seated dumbbell triceps extensions, even shoulder press although not quite as bad. I can do some chest exercises, mostly things like chest press are the easiest. Pushups seem to hurt sometimes but not as bad as the overhead exercises. I want to know who has dealt with this and what you did to overcome this injury and possibly what didn't work. I've seen a lot of info online about people saying rest works but I've also seen that rest doesn't necessarily work either to a certain point.

I have been using light resistance bands and foam rolling the muscle to help get blood supply to the area.

I had pretty bad tendonitis (tennis elbow) a few years ago. It got so bad I could no longer use a hammer. Resting it did not have any effect. Cortisone injections provided temporary relief but were not a long term solution.

Ended up having surgery to repair it. Had a full arm cast for 2 weeks and a month of physical therapy, but it seems 100% now. I do have a small reduction in wrist flexibility from the procedure but is not really noticeable.

Hopefully non- surgical therapy will work for you.

    Stock. EZ pass.Dump pass.Inspection sticker.Convict printed lic.plates.FG cap.
Antiinflammatories and an armband to reduce the rubbing tendon followed by the two hand wash cloth twist worked for me.
