Damn, just getting started. I remember those days.

My oldest turned 5 end of July, middle son 3 at end of August, and the little dude in the middle turned one last Sunday.

We have quite the long road ahead of us but we are loving parenthood so far. It’s so fulfilling, even this early in the game.

Protip: teach the baby to say “Mama” or similar as soon as possible. Drill that into your child’s mind because the unofficial rules in every household is that when their cry is generic it falls on whoever's turn it is. But when they cry for Mama then she’s got to go.

Anyone using specific tie rod removal tool to pop them out of the steering knuckle? Or just a fork wedged in there?

No joke, I love these things. Always within reach in the workroom. I keep a set on the pegboard and one in my quick grab belt bag.

    Start with these!

It’s a joke. When they are small all judgment is clouded by sleep deprivation. Once they get past that stage it sets in when they hit their teenage years every time they go out at night with friends.

Ah, I thought you were taking a stab at me putting him in a toolbox drawer for a couple of minutes.

Wait til the second one gets here you’ll use the open drawer to stash the kid while you work on the truck. As long as they are quiet all is good. You learn to get a lot done in those brief times.

A dog works good too. A female GSD is a fantastic baby monitor. You have to use all the tools in your box.
