OTC archery elk in North Park.

Speed goat in Wyo between Casper and Douglas. Baby due in May so my 2021 hunting is going to be a challenge.

 

Congrats buddy! I keep telling myself this year is a crap shoot, but once summer hits I know I'll be doing everything in my power to get away for a week come September. Just have to keep the warden (wife) happy up until then

 

I honestly don’t know what I’m going to put in for this year. I’m kinda over hunting down in Crestone. Might still go down there for Deer and then might go for something up by Walden for elk.

 

I need to check the moon calendar. Last year sucked with a pretty much full moon for most of elk season. They just trotted around all night and bedded all day.

 

Baby in June for us. Will hopefully get down in your neck of the woods again @WarFab Armor but we'll see.

 

@Martyinco and I are planning a spring Bear in WY this May.


I put in for a Cow WY tag this year, good freezer filler, I'll see if I get it.



I'm not 100% on what I'm putting in for in CO yet.

I love how I keep getting ads in the mail for sportsmans warehouse and Cabela's that are advertising shit they don't even have and will not get anytime soon.

Anyone else grab a turkey tag this year? I got an OTC spring tag and not sure if I'm willing to put in the effort lol

 

I do OTC. Merriams are hard hunters. Easterns can be found in the Plains, but usually on private land.

 

Not surprised about the private land. I was out that way this year for pheasants and it was all walk in, pretty sparce and lots and lots of private land.

I'm thinking I may just pack my turkey stuff into my camp trips out west for Merriams and try to set up near some huntable land.

Does the OTC tag mean you can hunt on any game unit designated for turkey that season?

 

Yep, accessible units with an spring OTC tag can be found in the 2021 Colorado Turkey brochure. Quite a few to choose from.

Either if you want to team up? I've been scouting a lot even tho I don't have much to show for it..... Most of scouting is figuring out where not to go lol
