Who loves good food at camp?
How many people out there are camp cooking over a fire?
As suggested by the title this is a picture heavy camp fire cooking thread..
(Fire to Fork name taken from the Australian YouTube channel)

Feel free to post recipes (with pics) or just a final drool worthy picture of your eats

Recent trip to Vermont made some camp poppers

    Things needed..
    And how I made them

    4 jalapeños
    1 can Pillsbury crescent roles
    Cream cheese
    Deli sliced horseradish cheese
    Salt/Pepper

Slice the jalapeños in half, and gut the seeds. I trim the tips off the top and bottom as well to better fit in the dough roll up. Fill jalapeño with cream cheese. Lay on a slice of horseradish cheese. Salt and pepper the dough and give it a little stretch to widen the dough. Place in jalapeño half and fold the dough over the top and bottom end of the jalapeño, this should conceal most of the pepper. Simply role the excess of the dough around. I spray the inside of my Dutch oven with some cooking spray. Evenly space out the poppers and set to fire. I used a tripod with the Dutch oven, a lot of the heat was on the side so I rotated it every few minutes. Cooking time was about 15-20 minutes. Ended up with a dark crispy bottom and flaky outer crust. Let cool and enjoy. Make sure prior to cooking the dough conceals everything or the cheese will ooze out.

no recipe necessary here. Just meet and potatoes, deliciously cooked in a cast iron over and open flame with bacon for flavor!

We’ve done foil packs a few times. Works really good when you have a group of people also. Really easy to do and everyone can make them how they want.

start with some cabbage then use whatever fillings you want on top of it. Place another piece of cabbage on top then wrap tightly. Throw some meat in there and veggies (frozen seems to work best). Place directly on coals for about 20 minutes, check it then open and eat directly out of the foil if you’d like.

    Pics for all that goodness.
