I just got the new coilovers in. These are my 3rd set of ADS coilovers.

I also have a set of oem series kings. These are shaft size differences, reservoir size differences, hose and fittings differences ... and finally, ADS squeezed 7 inches of travel out of the same droop spec as the king got 6.6....

I’m going to do a video later of how the clicker turns. I feel like the ads turns smoother. But I also don’t have any nitrogen in the shock yet. So it’s not fair until everything is apples to apples.

both my kings and these ads are custom tuned, by different people. And sadly the ADS is tuned to run with a bypass so I won’t be able to compare that.
But... for less money I’m getting a higher end shock lol!

Ads reservoir is over an inch longer btw. 1/2 hose and fittings vs 3/8 on the king.
Larger shaft 7/8 vs 6.4/8 (yes I measured that one a few times. I’d almost say it was closer to 3/4 than anything. So I posted the largest of all my caliper readings on the king.

For $h1t$ and giggles: the famous multimatic shock shaft from the zr2:
(Aka they used a cheap UTV sized shaft)

Hi, can someone remind me. i know i read this somewhere.

I believe the only difference between standard and extended travel for the ADS shocks was the addition of a internal bump stop of sorts?
Looking to rebuilt then and gain extra travel

What was the difference between standard and extended? Thanks!

Says "MADE IN AMERICA and proud of it" on the boxes. I noticed this, though. Why source these fittings from Chyna? Oh well. I'm sure they're fine.

Nope brand new. I checked the rears and they look like yours. I didn't check the other front. Maybe they ran out. Not a big deal.

    Stuff and junk and things...
Standard hydraulic fitting not made by ADS or any shock manufacturer. Probably a Parker or Aeroquip supplied parts.

Anybody local to ads and heading their way anytime soon?

I have a set of bypasses being made and I think the guys there are purposely keeping quiet about it because they know it drives me nuts...

I’m too far to offer back massages and I’m too ugly and straight for “other massages”....

Hoping someone can get a spy photo of what they are putting together for me... and no... I don’t know... I just run what they tell me.

Not a Tacoma, but I figured I would post this here since there's not much participation on the T4R.org ADS thread. Had the good folks over at Mule Expedition Outfitters install my ADS suspension. I went with the 2.5 IFP Coilovers (non resi) up front, 2.5 Remote Resi shocks in the rear (w/ OME 2895E springs), and Timbren bump stops all around. Ride is noticeably improved over the TRD fox setup. I've run Icon and King on past rigs, and these ADS are right up there with them, if not better. The build quality on these are top notch, almost to the point of being over built.

Well...finally got these things installed. The rear photo doesn't show the 3 leaf aal, u-bolt flip or super bumps installed yet. I just couldn't wait for them to come in. I did do the needle bearing delete while I had it apart, though.

These things are legit! The front resi's were a bitch! Very stiff hoses even when I cracked the fittings a little.

Cutting out some misplaced bumps, and then getting ready for a bypass mount...

these coilovers look so sad with out springs and not doing work...

Hey folks, just ordered my setup and am using the piggyback rear shocks. the rear of my truck has a 1.5” extension pack. it seems obvious but is the 0-2” lift shock the proper option here, or does the 2-3” lift shock share the same collapsed length and i should go with the longer shock? if it changes things i have a rear u-bolt flip using superbump bump stops that are taller than factory. thanks much!

EDIT: Got my question answered by the ADS team. If anyone is wondering, you can use the 0-2" with a larger leafpack, but cannot use the longer shock with a shorter leafpack like you can with Kings. I assume this is due to a difference in collapsed length with the ADS shock, where the kings extended travel rear shock shares the same collapsed length (per Accutune).

Anyhow, now I am eagerly awaiting my ADS setup to show!
