hmmm? Trade the truck in way less expensive than your wife finding your "friend's" ear ring, in my opinion.

I don't know of any jewelry worth owning that is magnetic.

I don't think a single pearl earring warrants dash disassembly.

I highly doubt you will get down into the heater assembly enough to get the pearl out with a vacuum or boroscope.

Buy the girl a new set of earrings and call it good.

I might would consider ripping the dash out if a few Gold Krugerrands had been dropped in there.

Just turn the truck upside down and give it a few shakes.

That is a good thing to have but how is he going to get it out. Unless he just wants to look at it.

Hook attachment - Not working for a pearl earring.
Magnet attachment - Not working for jewelry.

This or disconnecting your blower motor altogether. Last thing you need is turn on the defroster with your wife in the truck and a pearl earring comes flying out of the vents.

A small wad of masking tape or some of those "sticky dots" for wall hangings, at the end of a speedo cable.

A weighted piece of string may do the trick too, with said sticky stuff.

OP, like others have stated, you need to come clean on this lost earring. Anytime a gal needs to take off earrings in a truck, the guy is usually getting his driveshaft lubed.

    Some pretty good responses lol.

Harbor freight sells a cheap camera scope. Just saw one in the store the other day.

You should try to find a diagram of how the vents are setup then plan from there.

Find a friendly, knowledgeable body shop and see if they can give you any tips. They undoubtedly have R&R these many times.
