    Hey! Just wanted to introduce myself here.
    This is my second Tacoma (first was a 2015 4x4 TRD) but my last vehicle was a 4th gen ram 2500 diesel 4x4 that was nothing but headaches and cost too much to daily, not to mention I have no need for that big of a truck anymore. I picked up a 2020 sr access can 4cyl. 2wd the other day that had 1500 miles on it for a killer deal. The guy traded it in a month after purchase for a 4 runner because his wife was pregnant. He added a nice tonneau cover and TRD off-road wheels and tires. Also the TRD stickers, but I’ll be taking them off shortly.

    I don’t much care about 4x4. I blast down local fire roads and pretend I’m prerunning that’s about the extent of my off-roading. I’ll do some supporting suspension mods to make it more capable and maybe a locker down the road.

    Nothing stupid about that! I’m new here also and also have a 4x2 SR access cab. I used to have a 1999 Prerunner before that and have always been fine with 2wd. I was deciding between the Tacoma and a cargo van so my main requirements are hauling space(6ft bed) and potential to use as the base to a camper.

    I ended up with the Tacoma(very happy) due to my previous Toyota experiences and that’s just ‘the way the wind was blowing’ the day I bought it! I’m not a fan of the stickers either, but to each their own. Congrats on the deal and new truck! Welcome to TW.
