    Never had them but I've heard the new regs are hardline on them.

    I actually had a shop try to claim my "aftermarket" lights blew a fuse for the tails when they replaced the plate light on my truck prior to the inspection. They were the stock LEDs that came with it new and yet insisted I was wrong and must have hacked the wiring..

    If you go that route it might be best to keep the originals. I got failed last year for a 3rd seatbelt not being present and my vehicle is listed plainly on the title as 2 seats, but the station wouldn't budge. I was told if there's even a slight grey area they have to fail it or risk losing their inspection license..ended up having to get the RMV involved and get a "referee" decision on the matter.

    My 09 has been 100% debadged from day 1 & never have been questioned or failed in Mass.

    Thread revival! Going to be making the jump to 35's soon and figure I am going to need to put spacers to avoid rubbing UCA's since its already pretty close with 295's. Anyone who's running spacers have issues at inspection?

    @ABA180 lives in Massachusetts...

    I live in Pennsylvania, which also requires the yearly emissions test/safety inspection. My truck has never failed, but for about two years now I've had aftermarket foglights. This is not in itself illegal, but per federal law, foglights must automatically shut off when the high-beams are switched on. I don't feel comfortable doing the wiring myself and don't feel like paying to have it done, and my mechanic installed the foglights, so he just puts an inspection sticker on my truck since there's literally nothing wrong with it otherwise.

    They can bust your a** if the tires stick out too far past the fenders, not sure about the actual adapters being a no go.

    I know, I know, but I needed a half ton.
    I think I heard somewhere adapters weren’t allowed in mass. I never ran any so I don’t know for sure.

    Can confirm, DID NOT PASS because of wheel spacers. Also, have to replace inner and outer tie rods because of play, but even if those were fine, the tech said I would not pass with the spacers. I'm running Spidertrax 1.25" spacers. Might be able to get away with .5" spacer as it would not stick out as far and can be up to discretion of inspector. Doesn't help the Spidertrax are bright blue

    Yeah bumpers, light bar, winch, even the front license plate they just bent up so they could take a picture, all that was fine. It was the poke on the wheels and tires and then the tie rod play. Tie rods will get replaced and then I might just throw my wife's 4runner tires on for inspection if they want to play those games
