I just recently installed a rear bumper/tire carrier by 4xInnovations which came with a rear camera mount located on the tire swing-out. I was able to remove the camera, unfortunately the cable won’t reach the camera mount. I’m sure this question has been asked a million times:-/

Is there a way to extend the wire harness or do they make an aftermarket extended camera wire harness?

Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

If you have the covers for when you remove the tailgate then you have the matching connector to attach an extra tailgate camera harness.

Purchase the harness, de-pin the terminals on the connector going to the camera. Insert these terminals into the matching connector that goes to the tailgate side. Now you have 2 harness inline for additional distance.

Where on the swingout does the camera mount and how much more slack do you need?

I relocated my camera (different bumper fabricator) and have a few inches of excess slack still.

60F09149-C28D-49D9-ADAC-B5CBAC2355A2.jpg Mounting bracket is in the middle of the swing arm. As you can see I’m short by approximately 6 inches:-/
