Not sure if you've cut drywall yet but you can use one of these. It's for old working ceiling fans in, they're super strong. You basically slip the bar in the hole and crank it tight between the studs. It might be tricky to do in a wall but I think you could do it.

Nice repair. What did the homeowner do to crack all of the border bricks? Something had to have hit them.

I'm not sure. In the course of our conversation about the rot that was discovered yesterday, they did mention that some of the bricks were in rough shape.

Maybe ice in the long winters? It kind of looks like it was hit with the bucket on a backhoe.
I just know that would drive me crazy out side of my front door. At least you have their column in tip top shape.

Could be standing water/ice related per the condition of that post. Maybe the entire brick patio/base is leaning towards the house a wee bit?

I would have bought this had I seen it when I went to Lowe’s. I bought the 1/2 thick box and was going to slide a piece of wood behind the drywall so I would have something to screw it to and for the patch. Luckily I held the new light against the wall before I cutt and realized it was going to be way to low. Had to move it up about 6” so I went back and bought the carlon old work box and cut it in.

What lock would you guys recommend for a resin shed? its to close the double doors on the front.

    I want something like this:
    https://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-...=hidden+shackle+padlock&qid=1606155782&sr=8-2

looking at reviews though, it seems pretty easy to pick. Seems to be a theme with Master Locks...

Are there any others out there that would work?

(and yes, I understand that someone could just cut the door off its hinges, but I feel like at that point, if they want whats inside the shed that bad, no lock will stop them.)

We have one of the new HD masterlocks with the supposed cut proof bar and pick proof lock on ours. I had originally bought for my truck box but decided that it wasn't needed now that I don't live in a questionable neighborhood anymore. (Had $200 in tools stolen within an hour of my not being around the truck...in front of my apartment....)

Found a use for all of the old deck boards. Put them on the wall of my workshop, after sanding and staining they turned out pretty nice.
