    Hi all,

I think I did my due diligence and searched through threads about my specific question, so forgive me if this has been answered and please link if you have a related thread.

I recently hit 150k (2006 v6 access cab) and it’s time to freshen up the suspension. I just want a smoother ride and to keep stock height. According to TW, Blistein 4600’s is the move for the front. Does the back get any attention?

It’s a daily driver for work as a carpenter, so it gets loaded with lumber or the occasional bag of concrete so I don’t think I need to add a lead or anything. Just looking for a smooth ride and to keep the truck healthy as long as possible.

    THANKS!

This is absolutely the cost effective way to go. Lots of OR models get aftermarket suspension early in life. You shouldn't have to wait to long to find a nearly new stock set in your area.

    Also,

Second or 3rd gen shocks both work. Find what is cheap, low miles, and replace

A set of take offs from a new offroad tacoma is ideal, but 4600's front and rear will 100% ride better than factory.

The only variable is rear leaf sag, if the spring is flat or inverted it doesnt matter what shock is in the rear.

Thanks! Where's the best place to keep an eye out, the usual? Craigslist, FB marketplace, letgo? I live in Philly.

My guess would be all of the above. In Hawaii I seen full sets (front back, with springs) with less than 1k miles sell for 2-300

I found: 4 2018 TRD wheels with factory tires, 2 Trd off-road front shocks without the coils / springs, and 2 Trd off-road rear shocks for $900. Is this a decent price? Sorry, I have literally no basis for this stuff, first time I'm tackling anything like this.

Also if it doesn't have coils / springs does that mean get new (or newer than what I have) or just use what I have?

Thanks to everyone for the help!

Do you need rims and tires? If not, you be patient, u will find something cheaper.
