This prior pic shows the needed input to activate the upper lamp on the FJ switch. In this particular setup, (below) the original low beam input to the fog relay coil has been moved.

These are the pins to the busses inside junction 2A:
    19@2A - Dash indicator
20@2A - To low beam headlamp bulb right hand side
21@2A - To Fog Lamp Relay, pin 86
22@2A - From Low Beam headlamp 10A fuse

23@2A - To Fog Lamp - Right Hand
24@2A - To Fog Lamp - Left Hand
    25@2A - From Fog Relay - pin 30

9@2A - To Engine Control Module Power
    10@2A - To C/PON Relay - pin 86
11@2A - From EFI Main Relay
12@2A - empty slot on same buss bar

No need to cut or de-pin the Tacoma fog switch connector.

But you need to assemble a short harness, and run a 20 awg wire from the engine (2A) to the cab. (loomed and secured)

This is 2A & 2B(buss bars) opened up.

This shows the removal of the (+) to the fog relay coil input from 21@2A to 12@2A.
Since the FJ requires a (+) input for the indicator lamp, the pins for the fog lamps are swap from their location to where the fog relay had its buss bar share.

    Locations swapped.

    Another view of same.

You need to know how to open the engine fuse/relay box.
The removal of 2B buss bar case is done by needle nose pliers slipped into the space and edge where the 2B connector was, firm grip and strong pull straight up. It's the only way to get to the locking pins of the terminals inside 2A.
You'll be unlocking the terminals from the top, but removing and relocating from below. You'll also be adding one female terminal (090/2.3ii) with the 20 awg wire to new location (buss bar) of the fog lamps as shown above.

Same for all versions of 2nd Gen.

Not a job for desperate/inpatient persons.

Since it's tied to the Leak Pump Test circuit also, the fog lamps will come ON if the switch is left ON after vehicle OFF. (post 5 hours for 2 min approx.)
