    And for those who may he stressing at this point....all 4.0's came with conventional 5w-30 as factory fill....in the Tacoma anyway.

    Conventional oil is just fine and much cheaper if you choose that route. Sleep comfortably

    OP, please double and triple check to make sure you are removing the oil drain bolt (next to cross member) and not the transmission bolt. There are countless threads on TW on owners accidently draining the trans fluid. Once you remove the right one, celebrate by marking or painting that oil drain bolt or do like what some of us did, replace it with a fumoto oil drain valve. Welcome to TW.

    You be surprised at how often it happens for even seasoned owners that have performed this same task numerous times. I put a gold "X" on the bolt until I recently went with a fumoto valve and skid plate. Drinking a beer after the correct bolt is removed versus before would be my next suggestion.

    Stock, 4WD, Access Cab, White,
    Generally speaking, some of the better brands of oil filters are WIX, ACDelco and Bosch. In truth, all filters will work. Some have poorer filtration characteristics.

    Oil is simple. Suggest a Full Synthetic. Viscosity (not weight :smack:) is marked on the oil fill cap and Owner's Manual. Any brand meeting the API specifications in the Owner's Manual are good enough. Dino squeezings can be used, although, you may want to think about a shorter change interval.
