    Didn't see that post,

i usually run 3 60lb bags of sand from Home depot. Quickrete has this tube bag full of sand thing they made that's not meant to slide around all too much in the bed of the truck.

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Quikrete-60-lb-Tube-Sand-115960/100318522

been using the same 3 bags since the first winter (so 2 completed winters now) and there is a difference on the OEM road tires, my ass doesn't slide out as much with the extra weight.. Of the 3 bags, they're all intact (with a hole in 2 of them) so the bags themselves are solid

I might be taking off my skid plates and tossing them into the bed or something this year though to keep the back down. my thought process is with the skids off, it's easier to hit a carwash with an under body spray (Esso at Hester @ Upper James seems to be the only ones that does this) to try and knock the salt out from the underside as i've not yet invested in a pressure washer or a fan sprinkler (maybe in the spring i'll get one)

No ballast here. My truck is quite heavy as is so traction is decent. I use 4wd when things gets slippery and on take offs. Never had an issue.

Wood have been fun to experience driving a fwd tacoma in snow. I could then sell it as the only one in Canada.

If anyone is looking for plano cases but dont mind the knock off variety at princess auto, the prices reflex that.

    Mine were about 100 each

Unfortunately there are none in stock. My dad tried to get one yesterday and was told no stores had received them.

SKU 8951832 doesn't show on Princess' web site. Tremendous deal though as the regular price for the knockoff is $60 + shipping: https://www.amazon.ca/Flambeau-Outdoors-6448SC-Safeshot-48-Inch/dp/B071JMLHNY/
