Does this bother your legs when driving or is it out of the way?

They’re back far enough that you won’t even notice them when driving.

When I have my BAB (Big Ass Bottle) in the holster, my right leg will just brush if I get off the GO JUICE pedal and pull it back, but like that ever happens. :burnrubber:

Is REI the best place to get the Static bag?

I’d get the bag directly from Taylor at Static. She provides awesome customer service and if you contact her and tell her your order # and tell her you are using for your Tacoma, she’ll give you a list of “taco mods” which include nylon liner instead of fleece, smaller loop to hold a pen, size options for smaller water bottles, and some other options. Highly recommend contacting them directly:thumbsup:
    Here’s mine:D

Yes contact her directly. She has amazing customer service. But if you’re not wanting to wait, they do have it at REI. Well, my local REI they do. Most of them have a fleece lining. A little harder to clean. Most of us went with a nylon inner lining.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to see how this would work in my Tundra. Such a good mod.

i definitely notice it when i have a 32oz hydroflask in there. it is barely noticeable though and worth the minor inconvenience.

I ordered myself one in oxblood. I keep my 36oz yeti bottle wedged between the driver seat and the door usually. I can’t tell you how many times I forget it’s there when I open the door.
Looking forward to this little addition.

Has anybody had a pair made where the two holders on each side are tied/sewed together so they are supporting each other so no bolt or anything is required to support each individual bag?

Same bottle here. I had her make mine an inch taller and slightly more narrow. If I flip the bottle grab handle over, I barely feel it. If the handle is leg side, I definitely feel it. But my seat is all the way back. One weekend I’ll see if I can move the bag rearward a little.

Here’s a better picture of how the straps look on mine. They’re only a single layer where they go in-between the trim pieces so you don’t get a big gap and with how they’re folded over I didn’t have to put a bolt or anything on the other side.

And here’s a link to my thread where I list what ‘options’ I chose:

I got one for sale that's brand new with all the taco mods if anyone is interested. It was $37 and some change after tax. I didn't think about the fact I keep my passenger seat pushed up so my kids have more room and that would make me have to mount it too far forward on the center console than I would prefer.
