Thanks, man! I have already looked there. They seem to offer multiple mounts that mount to the vent ring.

I am not familiar with these and I couldn't find a picture on their site that showed the ring in OPs Pic. Further, I can't see behind the ram mount in op's Pic. I wasn't confident enough in what I was looking at to assume which product this is.

 

Apparently I have an older model of the Hondo mount.

 

That's what I figured. Would you mind taking a Pic of the back? So I can understand how it mounts?

... Or a Pic of it installed?

I am looking for a Xmas gift for a 3rd Gen owner... And I own a 2nd, so I have little idea what I am looking at. I see the vent rings in the 3rd, and I see it mounts there. Does it require any drilling?
