    Hi All,

I'm looking for something like this for a DYI project. I need something that will mount to the factory rails that I can bolt a surplus ammo can. I've found a mounting system that should work, but so far none in stock or extremely long lead times.

If any of you have a similar project, I'd like to see photos.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    12Tac

i haven’t built one yet - but there are t-nuts out there that fit the rails - and it would be fairly easy to fab up some
Support (possibly L ) brackets from aluminum you could source from a local hardware store or onlinemetals.com

I’m going to be putting something together to mount my Roam box to the bulkhead of the bed - I just haven’t had a chance to get the design put together yet. Will be curious to see what others post

edit: what kind of ammo can is that?

I have the Rago ones in the first pic with quickfists and it works for what I want it to do. The Rago ones are made to order so you will always have to wait for them to be made but they are beefy and durable worth the $ I spent.

Pretty sure @Grossomotto and a few others have rigged some up, there's definitely threads somewhere in here.

Ammo cans ($35 each) on the wheel wells bolted to the bed rails work great.

I think it will make a good place to store just about anything while holding it out of the way from the main bed area. Its lockable too.

Finally got around to getting this thing mounted. Basically using unused space in the bed, but leaves the majority of the bed available. Easy and its solid, but can be easily removed if needed.
