Just installed N Fab Growler running boards on my Access Cab. Sharing photos since I couldn't find any online prior to purchasing.IMG_20201127_143907591_HDR.jpg IMG_20201127_143851658_HDR.jpg IMG_20201127_143933020_HDR.jpg IMG_20201127_143948899.jpg IMG_20201127_143944006.jpg

Those growlers look like they have some bite too.

The funny thing is I've been looking at those since it's been a major PITA trying to find a set of predator steps near me at a reasonable price...I really like the way those look and I might have to splurge lol!

I replaced the OEM Predator steps to install the Growlers. The fit and finish of the OEM Predator steps are better but needed the larger stepping platform. Selling the predators on my local craigslist.

Between these and the predators, which one drops down lower? I have the factory round and they are literally an inch lower than the floorboard which serves no purpose IMO lol.

I couldn't tell you which one actually drops down lower, both in my opinion are close. Either one is optimal for a step. This has been a problem with some of the OEM running boards even with the previous generation Tacomas where it mounted too high and was unusable.

May I ask what the clearance is to the ground? Looks to be at the same height as the bottom of the wheel hub emblem.

The Growlers are approximately 12.75 or 12 inches off the ground depending on where you measure them from (board or bracket)

Out of curiosity, do they have a lot of flex when you stand on them? I’m about 225 and I have their Epyx steps - they flex significantly when I step on them. I got them for my wife and kids, but was a little disappointed in the flex in the event I’d use them to access a roof rack

I'm close to your weight and I haven't jumped or stood on them extensively. There is some flex because of the construction, materials, and multiple fastening points. The brackets are steel but the main boards are aluminum. One piece steps like the OEM Predators are more solid because of the one piece construction. The growlers, the brackets mount to the body then the boards to the brackets.

I'm a big boy...I think I'll stick with my hunt for a set of predator steps then...

Same with the Epyx, only they are made from steel and not aluminum. But they do have separate attachment brackets.

So what is the general consensus on these “Growlers” ? Are they worth the money ??
