You should be able to get all the rubber replaced for under 50 bucks. You can usually buy the parts on eBay or wheelers. You'll get a small 1-inch lift or so in the front. 40k seems a bit steep. If your hardware is worn out. I'd go full 5100s and never look back. Costs a bit more but your not gonna be looking for shocks in the next year or two.

Measured ROUGHLY in the dark driveway 23” center of hub to flare driver side and 22.5” passenger on an empty tank. Should sit at 22.5 both sides maybe when I fill up? Thinking 1.5 rear lift and bilsteins at 1.75 is gonna be what I end up doing. I want to retain some rake. This should do the trick right?

I’m torn on how to lift the front without too jarring of a ride. I like cushiony soft ride but want more height without spending a ton of cash ( I know I know ) but really leaning towards 1.5 block for ease of install and stock spring rate and bilsteins at 1.75 and hoping for the best...

I'm pretty sure you will lose your soft ride when you lift the front. My truck is pretty stiff with the 885 springs but I hear the 883 and 884 ride better but mainly because they have less lift.

Putting 5100s on the 3rd spring will stiffen the ride a bit but it's not like it drives like a rock. You'll gain maybe 2.5 inches of lift on that 3rd notch with stick springs. I put my truck that way and it doesn't seem any different than any other truck. To do it right you could always do that and put progressive AAL to give you a good amount of lift. Depends on what you are willing to spend though.

Going 5100s on the 3rd notch isn't too bad. It felt better for me when I did it but my shocks where done when I did it. Going maybe 1st notch to level it out and a AAL may be the way to go to do it right without spending too much.

Mine is 5100 at 3rd notch (0, .85, 1.75) with 1/2" top plate spacer on each with stock sr5 springs. Ride is just right. Probably close to 2" lift. Rear is just oem 4 leafs and 5100s. Much better than 3 leaf, no more wheel hop, about 1" higher than before. Overall ride is nice, way less body roll and rear is 1.25" higher than the front.

My old 05 AC was set at 4th notch 2.5" on oem springs and it was harsh compared to the RC on 3rd notch. It had 1.5 AAL with 3 leafs and was still tail high about an inch.......and fit 18" 285s with minor plastic trimming ....................

Would think most aftermarket springs up front will make RC stiff ride without plate bumper and or winch to compensate. Out back with 4 leaf and 1.5" aal should be good for shell and a bit more weight full time on RC. If not go multiple leaf AAL if more full time weight is required. Still ride ok and have longer lasting carrying capacity longevity.

On a side note.......devious plan in the works for new 040 painted skewpt hood.........white or black insert? Leaning toward black.

    Stay tuned.............................

After looking at the truck more I think if I did bilsteins at 1.75 I’d only need 1” in back, or 0.85 and leave the back alone. Ugh I like how high the back sits now but I have a lot more rake. 0.85 might be a decent compromise but I hope it’s noticeable.

until I see my RC............then NOT. Buncha parts came off it before trading it in for the RC so some of it is still with me.

I currently have mine set up the same way. I have progressive AALs to add here soon. I look at mine and while it measures level it looks like I got the carolina squat going on sometimes. Once I get the AALs on it'll look like a normal rake again.

Exactly. That’s why I want the back to stay an inch or so higher than front. But it’s closer to 1.75-2” higher than front right now

Haha I know I’m just scared to mess up the ride quality when I lift the front...
