If any of you follow @crashnburn80 he has done some reviews on Hikari headlights as a possible LED option. They are on sale for about $45 today on Amazon. I’ve been running them a year almost and ordered a new set just for back up.

I was there over the weekend hunting till Sunday night. Some of the road on Spencer Ridge rd gave way on us a few time an a tree fell in behind heading out. We left early before the storm came in Monday morning.

I don’t think it was recommended for 2nd gen.

Funny timing, just picked these up to try out - headlights and reverse lights from that thread. Couldn’t find the GE +130’s so settled for the night breakers up front.

I just did the H9 and driving through tillamook a night they were awesome bright. I had LEDs in my truck at one point and driving through the pitch black plantation area in Hawaii i soon figured out they weren’t worth it after trying out the ge130 now the are the tungsten 130s

You did H9’s for low beams? How did you like them compared to the H11 +130’s?

I’m pretty excited for these brighter back up lights too.

I've been running H9's in my lows for over a year now. They are hands down better than any H11+ bulbs I tried(Osram, Phillips). The projector still provides a great cut off so you don"t blind oncoming traffic. I've been flashed maybe twice in the last 20k miles. the H9's also seem to last longer.

    These are what I bought.

I like them a lot better. I have the 130 in my wife’s 4runner and when they go I’ll do the H9s in hers. It’s really easy to trim the plastic and the small metal tab. After driving through the forests with both I love the H9 upgrade. I use the same bulbs that was posted below. I’m lifted and never have been flashed once

Did you make it all the way over? Doesn’t look too bad.

No. We turned around after a mile on the snow.

I'm just about settled in after moving out to Portland and I need to spend some time working on my tune. Could anyone suggest a good area or road where I can safely make WOT pulls (generally between ~20-50MPH)? I'm in SE Portland and don't mind driving a bit, but I don't even know where to begin looking!

Had another great day out in TSF yesterday. Ran Bates Road, University Firepower, and Cedar Tree again to do a direct comparison of my new 285 duratracs to my worn out old 265 duratracs I was on last week. Needless to say the combo of fresh tires and stepping up to 33s were a game changer. Super stoaked with the new setup!

At the end of the day we got alittle mixed up at the end of Cedar Tree and ended up accidentally running a rocky uphill section of Firebreak 5 just as it was getting dark. The trucks handled it fine and now it has me itching to go out and check out the rest of the trail - it was already on my radar but now more serious about it after getting a taste of it. I Need to sit down with a map and my gps track later to figure out exactly what we ran.

Was there anyone else out there yesterday? Had a group of about a half dozen 3rd gens and a 4Runner cruise by us when we were about to get on University Firepower. One taco was brand new and still had temp tags on it. I said “looks like a tacomaworld group” to my buddy as they drove by. Think they tuned onto one of the power line trails.
