I painted my OEM skid plate to classic Toyota colours. It was a fun project and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to paint their skid any colour. Was told by friends I should post it here to get anyone to try it. :)

all I did for prep was a really good clean with dawn dish soap, then prime it. Sand it, primed it again and then painted it the colours I selected. Let sit for a few days and it was good to go. I’ve had it on for over 3 months and have had no paint chips or anything like that.

It's an easy project to clean up the fugly scratched and discolored OEM skid plate. I kept it simple--truck bed liner. Hit it around spring time, and no issues thus far-even after pulling the skid so I could spray woolwax.
