I was hoping to grab some wild peaks in a C load but they only have them in a 275/70. 265/70 is my plan, and they have those in SL or E. E is way too much for me, but is SL too little? The stock OR tires are SL, I believe, and I've done fine so far, but I like to future-proof. To that end, the KO2s come in 265/70, a C load, AND weigh less than the equivalent wild peak size. But the KO2s are $200 more than the SL wild peaks.

Both tires are $100 off a set of 4 at Discount tire.

I've got a fox lift of around 1.5" or so. Would 275/70 present many rubbing challenges? Based on what I've read in this thread, and I've read every page, it would seem the answer is no. But a bigger size means more weight and I'd rather not deal with that issue either, hence the desire for 265/70.

    Under development
I did SL, E was too much, and I felt SL would do just fine. Really depends on how crazy you get.

Happy to see the UPS man leave four of these on my porch today. They look better in person than in all the photos online. Can’t wait to get them on the truck.

    Okay i have a question.
I have these wheels on my tacoma and my buddy has them stock on his 17 4 runner trd pro
Anyone have an idea why the condition of his wheels looks shot compared to mine?

His are newer than mine as his truck is a 2017 and i got my wheels in 2016. (His are the gray trd logo and mine is the blue. Both wheels freshly cleaned.)

Does anyone else on here have this issue???

Looks like it has to be a difference in how they’ve been maintained...with you obviously getting the nod. What do you do to yours? Sounds like these wheels are gonna be fun to keep clean.

I bought some of that Dr. Beasley’s Matte Wheel Seal based on posts here. That stuff is going on my wheels before tires!

hmm that’s interesting thing is my buddy cleans his 4 runner way more than i clean my tacoma Besides yesterday i haven’t cleaned my truck since like September I would honestly say. I live in an apartment so i don’t have access to water to hand wash the truck. I have heard good things of that Dr Beasley. Is there anything my friend can do for his wheels? He is a detailer but doesn’t have much experience with products for matte wheel

I use Dr. Beasley on my wheels and they keep them looking like new. I would say to apply some after he washed the wheels. It may not make a big difference the first time but after doing it a few times he may start to see a difference.

Maybe all that built up dirt and brake dust preserved yours and kept them from oxidizing. LOL

Could also be that your buddy used a product that degraded the matte finish...sounds like matte paint is sensitive to some chemicals.

Saw another recommendation on the forum for Dr. Beasley’s Matte Wheel Seal. That’s what I picked up.

For sure. Went SL for the weight savings. Didn’t figure the E would be necessary for this rig and my intended use.
