Pelican boxes- what’s in them?

This is why I moved my Hi-lift under my sleeping platform. I was using a rifle case when it was on the roof because it was weatherproof, secure (relatively), and much less expensive than other cases I looked at.

 

Just ordered one.

 

Sounds like it's time someone starts making/selling faux pelican cases.

 

I think there are several brands of pelican knockoffs. Pelicans are for small timers anyway - ballers use Zarges boxes.

 

Not knock off. Faux.

If you don't even have anything to put in therm, but you still want the aesthetic.

 

A hilift is weatherproof

Zarges is for rookies. I only use custom made stainless steel cases

 

I no longer have them up there, but when I did, this is what I had in there. Recovery gear and spare parts.

Agreed. Weight up high will ensure that you complete the roll. Your better off-roaders will finish each roll so that they are, again, wheels down when the event is over. Learned this the hard way once when I was underweight up top and failed to right myself. Laid there like a turtle in the desert for three days.
