What color looks good with Tacoma grey interior; is it the X7 light grey? Thanks

Has anyone priced out the option to get the seat re-upholstered?

When I bought mine (Realtruck.com) you could get tan or grey...I bought grey. Hope these pics help. I prefer tan honestly but just went with grey because of the interior colors. My son has a 2002 Tacoma and his interior is tan (wish mine was) -I bought him the tan.

GOSH I love those...A LONG time ago - I used to drive Grand Wagoneers - had an 83 traded and got an 89...I had those covers and I have NEVER had seat covers I liked so much . Mine were REAL and very thick and plush (like those look). My wife had a 7 Series BMW during those years - and she hated them. Where did you get yours? I probably could not put them in the truck due to our farm life, but I just might.

Super cool in the heat. Super warm in the cold. Perfect all around. I discovered them when I was overseas actually. Every place with a hot climate people had them, believe it or not. A lot of bush pilots I know have them as well. When I do buy an airplane someday they’ll be the first upgrade. Can’t live without now. My mother is enjoying the ones I for for her for Mother’s Day a few years back as well (over nasty freezing cold leather haha).

They do take some dusting out. I’ve bought from multiple suppliers online. Don’t remember which these were but their the best I’ve had for real wool and quality.

My only fear is this runner is getting high in miles and I hope these covers will fit a 4th Gen when I sell the 3rd Gen for one finally haha.

I got mine reupholstered 6 years ago for $200 out the door. One of the better investments I’ve made on the interior of my truck.

I really wish I had kept the ones I had - my wife said there was no use, as I'd never get another old Wagoneer...lol. However those vehicles were my favorite out of anything I've ever owned. I've been eyeing a 'new' one from the 'Wagonmaster' in Kerrville TX. The prices keep going up so that may never happen - but.....

Thanks for the reply - I appreciate it.

Yessir! I’d stick to a 4Runner, personally :D 4th Gen is basically just a more nimble Landcruiser Prado with better organization ha.

Save up for some wool seat covers! :D

I understand - I've never had a 4Runner - had Landcruisers and loved them. I just fell in love with the Wagoneers when I had them. If I had known the value of these now, I would have kept both, but at least the last one I had. Mine were kept as new and I rarely drove them!! The Wagonmaster is the best out there, but 15 years ago I could get one for 45-50, now it's pushing 100K!! Heck I even talked with the owner back then and had decided to get one - in the 45-50 range, I just talked myself out of it because it was a car. Well, there are MANY times I've made stupid calls and hindsight is definitely 20/20.

Very cool - where'd you get this priced at? I wouldn't even know where to look.

It’s a local father and son auto upholstery shop here in oregon. But just searching google for upholstery shops in your area works well. Also, in my experience, general upholsterers will charge WAY more for seats than those who are in the automotive industry.

Of course!! Also something to consider is asking an upholsterer to reuse the seat backing material. Cuts down on cost and time a considerable amount.

Hey Paul. I apologize for the delay in responding. Your post on my profile reminded me to go back to your question.
I wasn't give a choice of "Grey X7 or Dark Grey" when I purchased them off of Amazon. I even went back and looked at the order (snapshot below) and the description states "Dark Gray Automotive Twill".
Based on that I'd go with the "Dark Grey".
    Hope this helps!
