My heater core started leaking in the floor board. So I had to bypass it in the engine bay for now, dont have the cash to have it replaced. Can anyone recommend a portable heater that runs off cig lighter to get me through the winter that is worth a dang?

I cant really give you any input sorry. But just remember that both cig lighters combined are only rated for 120W

Edit: I see you have a '96. That may be different than the 120W in my 2012

If you could pull the heater core.

Take it to a radiator repair shop. They could solve the problem without a huge cost.

Maybe a power inverter to the cig port then get an electric blanket.
