anyone ever deal with MacNeil Automotive? http://www.weathertech.com/?gclid=CN...FYLd4AodSxIUlg
i got some mats & wind deflectors which arrived in good shape - 10 days from order. but i was charged 2x for shipping. not 5.95 shipping, but $30 shipping - x 2 = $60.00 on 120 worth of merchandise. this contradicts the order confirmation when i placed it.
so i called customer service. recording - 25 minute wait time. after 10 minutes i realize they weren't kidding. and this wait was a toll call (used the number on the packing slip).
went online, found the 800 number and called. went through the menu, and waited and waitd while no one picked up the call. i'll try again - once- in the morning. second call will be to my credit card company to dispute the second 30$ charge. i've got documentation!
anyone have experience with MacNeil Automotive?

welll ...... after calling about six times today i got through the back door by using #1 - place an order - on the menu. the gal told me "we have a new system and 50% of our customers got charged twice and the rest only once. did you call your credit card company to see what the charge was?"

so now it's my responsibility because the company screwed up? so i did call my credit card company and yes, i was charge twice for shipping and i am filing a case to contest the charge because i have the order confirmation indicating once, and the packing slips indicating twice.

then i called MacNeil - don't buy from them because it's a hassel - Automotive. explained to another gal what the story is. she claims to be reimbursing my credit card the overcharged amount, but it will take 2 - 3 days to generate the credit. that means these forkers have used my 30$, plus the money of, by their own addmission, 50% of the rest of their customers. what happens to the money people don't go after? they just made zillions in double charging!

i placed the order 11/25, so that's 14 days by the time a credit is generated, and they have that money for 2 weeks to invest, buy trinkets, or hookers & blow. never again. there are too many places that are easy to trade.

I've use mcneil twice without any problems but it does seem like it takes a long time to get their product. I'd say bear with them. In Law 30 days is considered a reasonable amount of time to get something done. So just hang with them. In the future contest the charge and if you really have a case of the ass at them then go to small claims court. That will get their attention real quick as they will have to pay for overcharges and filing fee's. It's costly for them when you can prove them wrong and if they have to hire a lawyer...But that would be my last resort.
