I have the Archive garage sua setup with deavers and their hammer hangers and shackles, with a diamond axle housing (much thicker and bigger axle tubes), it's close but clears just fine

Has anyone attempted to re-calibrate the fuel gauge?

I bought mine second hand, but the new prices I was quoted have definitely increased.

Going to be installing this weekend. Any unforeseen tools that were needed from those that have installed already?

Either a floor jack + extension with ratchet straps or a transmission jack. Kind of hard to bench press it solo.

I had to weld/fabricate a few brackets. I wouldn't go into it with a wrench and screwdriver mindset just in case.

Thanks for the reply! Think we should be covered on all of those.

Damn, I hope it doesn't come to that. That said, I think we can whip up some simple brackets if need be. Thanks for the heads-up.

I still need to get the “burp” fix from the importers...
I hardly ever drive the truck though. I haven’t even gone 1000 miles since March of 2020.

It wasnt anything crazy. Basically a straightened Z. Just one on the aft right side, then one for the front (longbed).
Yeah I sold it before that even got the chance. I would not pull the bed back off for that crap. I was told it was already included from the reseller... womp!

Maybe you'll have better luck than me but I think the burp fix was a check valve at the filler neck connection. I put it in last year and still have pretty regular issues (about 50/50) with the pump not stopping if I step away from it on fill ups. Anymore I just go by what the scangauge says I've burned then go by ear as to when it's truly topped off. I think it's a matter of time before the evap throws a code but like you, the truck hasn't been out much with the rona

    And to further explain:

I had the anti siphon drain flap replaced by the fellas over at Valley Hybrids as well as the check valve. That didn’t alleviate my burping issue. I noticed that when I filled up at stations that had a larger “crown” to their fill stations, I had less issues with burping. I believe is a pressure issue that builds in the highest point of the tank. The vent tube should be venting the highest point(highest pressure) of the tank. Haven’t had an issue since I modified the vent plumbing.

Innovative. Makes sense. I assume that's JB Weld?

You are correct sir. Someday I’ll source the correct fitting. But for now, it works just fine.

Creative solution! Quick question: When did you purchase your tank? I was under the impression that the most recent generation of tanks no longer have the burping issue.

I believe I was one of the first to get a tank through Ward and Georg. I can’t tell you the exact date. But, I can look back in this thread and probably find it.

I still say this is one of my top 5 modifications to my Tacoma. The range extension is fantastic. There have been some hiccups(burping issue and misaligned mounting tab) along the way, but no modifications is without its faults.

Awesome, thanks for the quick follow up. Hopefully they've remedied the issue, but if not I'll deal with it. Although I don't have it in yet, I already want to agree with you. I'm super excited to not have to be at the gas station nearly as much as I am currently, let alone when I'm on a trip. To be fully honest, I'm slightly worried about the clearance, as I've bashed up my exhaust (on the opposite side of where the tank sits) a few times wheeling. That said I may look in to making my own skid plate for it, but we'll cross that bridge later.
