Tire rotation at 2300 miles

    Shop that did my oil change rotated tires without my knowledge and it was only 2300 miles since previous rotation. With only 5/32” left all 4 should I leave them be or have the shop rotate them back which they will do NC.

    If they are evenly worn it doesn't matter.

    If the backs are better than the fronts, move them back.

    You should probably get new ones...I wouldn’t trust 36 year old tires.

    I don’t understand your concern. Won’t hurt anything. Also at 5/32 you are damn close to needing new tires. With winter and wet slippery roads I’d replace them at 4/32. I personally wouldn’t wait for them to get down to 3/32 especially in winter. Next oil change start shopping for new tires.
