@Riles10tacoma if the mods above don’t work for you, there’s a third way that involves a dpst (not spst like @Benson X thread) and grounding the new wiring.

that’s what it took for mine to work, even though the mod for TRD Sports should have worked.

I’ll try to find the thread again and update this post

Abs doesn’t help you stop better. It helps you steer when locked up.

    OP.....

Please consider how the ABS works. It sounds like yours is working correctly. Disabling it will impact the control of your truck.

Before I forget......Try not to fall off that tall horse.

    Thank you.

I don’t think some of these people have actually had the scenarios I have had with the abs. I’ll admit I probly should’ve clarified on this thread I was mainly looking for a abs switch thread to turn it off and on manually for the Trd sports.

I do not this abs is bad in all cases but when you ease into the brakes and eventually the abs kicks on and pulses and does it’s stuff all the way up till you come to a stop is not at all what I want. Going down hill you actually speed up in some cases and you can’t get your truck to do what you want. Not having control is awful and I will have it turned on, in the road, but off road it will he turned off because I find it pointless while wheeling. I’ve never had any issues in the snow before until I got a newer tacoma

I know exactly how the abs works. Please consider that I’m just trying to figure out how to turn it off when I go wheeling

I agree, I have had it kick on a few times on some really slick muddy hills off-road. It’s horrible. I previously had an abs kill switch but after awhile it caused abs issues somehow. I reverted it back to stock and now just pull the fuse as previously stated.

After one of my trips I was throwing about 5 abs codes. I reverted the switch back to stock and only 1 remained (torn rear wire). After that was when I switched to just pulling the fuse.
