Reaching out to confirm something told me me by a sale rep when buying my 5100s for my 4 cylinder 4x4 Tacoma.

Rep informed me that 4 cylinder actually sit higher than the V6, therefore giving me 1” of lift free from factory. This leads into the question on what notch to set my 5100s in the front. If this is true, 3rd notch would put me at 1.1” additional lift, therefore sitting roughly 2” of total lift from all accumulated variables.

Looking to see if anyone else has dealt with a situation similar to mine, or at the least could confirm what rep stated was true about the 1” lift from factory.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
i actually have experience with this for once, my last two tacomas (11 reg cab 4x4, 17 2.7 manual 4x4) were 4cyl.
in the 6112 instructions it shows what settings to use per your configuration because of vehicle weight. thats for the 6112.

my 2 2.7s gained more lift that advertised- the single cab with 5100: had eibach 620s (1.6”) i netted 2.5 set at 0.
my 17 had 2nd gen pro shocks- i also ended up with 2.5” lift when most got 1.5-2”

figure you will net 1/2” more than advertised give or take.

your truck is slightly taller than a dclb 4x4. it could be an 1” on some , but there are so many configurations. all out trucks have some discrepancies in height- 2.7s have more.
