Haha not quite, 235's or 265's. I have a 2.5" lift and I'm too far over budget already without new wheels haha.

If I go 265 it'll be an SL not an E because I don't go off road that often and much prefer the softer ride.
If I go 235 they only come in E, but I don't want to be too narrow because the lift sucked the tires closer in.

I like the narrow tires but I want them to look like this
    Not like this.
No offense meant @Schonher16 your truck looks good! I just have the stock front end that would look silly.

Edit: Now that I'm sitting here staring at them side by side they basically look the same don't they? The different bumpers throw it off maybe.
I'm reading into this too much, getting pedantic.
I'll just have the tire shop pull one of each and get a real world visual.

    Disregard gentlemen, disregard.

This was when I tried 255/80R17. Looked ok from some angles, too skinny from other angles.

It looks pretty good actually! The potentially squeezed in front is what bothers me, especially whilst executing turns.

Just found this: I've been using that site forever and never clicked on that tab

Do you happen know what the offset is on the rims you had the 255s mounted on?

This what I currently have on my 2019 Sport 4x4 and more often than not, they look too skinny to me.

    Thank you sir!

I'm strongly considering going with 33x12.50 when it's time for new tires and was wondering what offset i would need on a new set of weals (stocks aren't wide enough for the 12.50)

I would go at least a 0mm offset if you want to keep your inner sidewall within 1/16th" of where it is now.

Anything (reasonable) in the negitive range as your tastes dictate would work.

If you want to keep them tucked in more a +10mm will move it in about 1/2 an inch.

I'm not close to pulling the trigger on anything yet, but these are the early favorites right now.

while not really close to the same black as the Midnight Black of my truck, here is what they would theoretically look like

    17" x 9" (+01mm offset)
Just need to decide on a tire now.

Okay guys i need some help, i had the OG 3 spokes on my
Gen 1 1995.5 tacomai upgraded to the anthracite wheels. This is frustrating; on the anthracite wheels i was originally running 265/75/16 with some minor slight frame rail rubbing from the driver side tire only.

i swapped them out to 265/70/16 thanks to our vendor on here, discounts tire. Now i am getting less rub from the 75 series but now i am getting rub from both tires. Ive came to the conclusion that i need spacers, will a .75” work?

Is That 9mm of offset difference, must be causing the rub? I thought for sure going down 75 too 70 will remedy it.

is a 17x7 inch wheel too skinny? I'm thinking about upgrading my wheels but keeping my tires stock. (currently running 17x7.5 on my taco)

other sources say its not good for the tires. my tires are P265/65R17

Hey guys, I have a 2020 Tacoma sr5 and as you mentioned above, I want to confirm the offset is +25 and not +30? I have the SR5 alloy 3rd gen. I’m looking for winter rims so I want the same offset so I can use the same lug nuts. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Thanks man. With the rim being recessed, the lugs used sit far in, that’s what the offset is right? I don’t want to buy a set of rims and not have the lugs fit. I know it might be a simple answer but I’m not 100% so I just want to confirm.

WHEEL-SIZE.com has all dimensions for OEM wheels. It shows the 3rd gen (2020) TRD OR 4x4 as having an offset of +13 (NOT +25 as shown by the OP)

I didn't go to the website but I'm pretty sure +13 is the offset of the black trd pro wheels. I think there is a mix up somewhere
