Posting to keep track of my bad spending decisions for my first and hopefully last truck I'll ever buy. Current progression will be from daily driver oriented mods (sponsored by Amazon :anonymous:) to off road stuff in the future.

This is a 2020 TRD 4x4 Sport short bed in Midnight Black Metallic with leather seats, premium technology package, and factory tonneau. Currently driving in California with plans to move to east coast for a job opportunity. This is my first vehicle and coming from a family of tundras (with no problems whatsoever), I wanted something nimble, capable for weather/ terrain conditions, and averaged better than the Tundras 15 mpg.

    The Mods: :spending::spending::spending:
These are listed in order of the date part was installed.

    Interior:

    • Tempered Glass for JBL head unit
    • Generic cup and door rubber liners
    • Generic center console tray
    • Generic center console cushion
    • Generic universal seat covers
    • Rexing 4k dashcam (hardwired)
    Exterior:
    • OEM rubber bed mat
    • OEM mud flaps
    • OEM bed extender
    • Generic rubber license plate frames
    • 4Runner Matte Bronze Rims (17x7 +4) with BFG KMs 275/75
    • Aries AdvantEDGE sidebars (matte chrome powder coat) and VersaTrac Mounting Brackets
    • Black Emblem Overlays
    • OEM TRD Pro Grill and Garnish
    • Diode Dynamics SS3 Sports Fog Lights (Selective Yellow)
    • 2019 TRD off road tail lights (to replace the sport chrome tail lights)
    • OEM 2020 TRD PRO LED Headlights
    Planned Mods/Additions:
    • Undercoating
      • Already have the woolwax on hand, just waiting until right before I move the truck to East coast.
    • Front skid plate
      • Debating between the TRD Pro skid versus third party skids (RCI, CBI, Mobtown, etc.)
    • Sliders
      • Got the Aries sidebars as insurance from staying at an apartment complex for a few months. Didn't help from the chads with 6 inch lifts but good peace of mind from everyone
    The Truck: :mudding:
For each new wave of mods, I will cycle the current picture to the bottom for reference!

Looks great. Where did you get an OEM Pro grill? I'm trying to get one for my 2021.

Edit: Also, where did you find the tempered glass for the JBL head unit?

Thanks for looking! For the OEM grill, I didn’t want to deal with the Pro VIN BS so I just kept a look out on OfferUp/ Craigslist. I copped both for around $200 so just be patient if you don’t want to pay for full price. If you want a brand new one, you can order it from Amazon without hassle but it goes for $300-400 for the OEM grill, then an additional $200-300 on eBay for the OEM garnish from an official Toyota Parts seller.

As for the the screen protector, I got it from Amazon for around $12 (I just searched Tempered Glass Tacoma 2020).
