Retrofit cargo light

My 2016 OR doesn't have a cargo light. Anyone here done a retrofit?

 

You don't have one at the third brake light?

Easiest way some people have done them is just put rock lights in the bed.

I didn’t do a write up but as you see in the pics I bought a clear lens, four white led panels and two red led panels. I wired the reds to the brake light and the whites to the dome light.

 

Is the clear lens a Toyota part? eBay?

My problem when parallel parking is seeing the vehicle behind me when finishing. Usually, it’s my wife’s Escape. I backup until I see just the steering wheel over the top of my bedcover. Sometimes, due to the tinted rear slider, I’m a little too close.

 

Been looking for the LED's you used. Can you give me a head's up?

 

Sorry, I didn’t record any information. I just got them on EBay. The key was to find someone who had both white and red in the same size.
