Hot (not boiling) water, ground coffee, a mug, and a MSR mugmate filter.

Or, if I don't have the filter, cowboy.

I use aeropress regularly at home and for my travels. I pair it with a Porlex hand grinder. You can store whole beans inside the hand grinder, and the hand grinder is slim enough to fit inside the aeropress plunger.

For me, with the grinder filled completely with beans, it gets me enough grounds for 3 brews. Everything is compact and with enough for a short overnight trip.

Cheap, easy, gets the job done. Not ideal for large groups, although I think they make larger ones.

Coarse grind in advance Black Rifle Beyond Black for press or pour over Black Rifle CAF. Yeah the $90 grinder has eluded me so far...

I drink coffee, my girlfriend drinks tea so it’s pour over for me. We use a small ceramic kettle we got off Amazon and I have a metal reusable filter. Super easy to clean and transport and let’s both of us take our morning hot beverages the way we want. If it’s the summer and I’m drinking iced coffee I’ll do cold brew at home and bring it in a half gallon jug.

I pre-grind at home with our burr-grinder before leaving, and then pour over, with paper filters. Toss the grounds and filter in the campfire when it's good and hot. Also have one reusable nylon filter in case I forgot to restock the paper ones, but it feels like a waste of water to clean it. I'll look into one of those min-grinders though.

I Moto camp in all kinds of weather, rain included, so depending on hot coals and percolators is out for me. For simplicity, pour over filled by electric kettle, powered by honda generator.

I love the aeropress, I use it every day. It packs well and cleans up easy. Great deployment coffee maker.

I had no idea what perculated coffee was until now. I’ll have to give it a shot.
