2015 dclb. OEM head unit. Put new components in last year. Lost power to both front door woofer today. Pulled head unit out. Can't figure it out! Help please. Im also installing a sub, but the front doors have been cutting in and out for a week now. I've checked obvious connections.

Are you currently using just the OEM wiring? How are going to add a sub without an amp? (powered amp?) how do you plan to get signal to it.?

All OEM wiring and HU. I just added a sub with speaker wire. I know it's not the final solution. My problem is.... I lost front speakers before I added the sub.

If they have been cutting in and out, I would suspect the run between the HU and the speaker.

You could start with continuity tests to avoid pulling.. (provided you have an ohm meter)

I figured out the passenger side. Just a rusty speaker connection.

Still no luck on the drivers. The tweeter and door speaker are getting power according to the ohm meter.

mine was doing this recently.. but only on the passenger front door.. would cut in and out and would have static.. something was going on with the door tweeter and it was arcing on the mount.. cut it off and everything played perfectly.. redid any connections even if they seemed good.. ended up buying a new kenwood head unit during this time and go it all wired up.. wired the same tweeter back up and its working 100% better then it was before

It seems that I lost that channel in the HU. I bypassed the wires, and still nothing! I wanted to avoid it, but a new HU is in my future. Man! They are pricey for what I want!!

On a positive note, I have sound out of every door now, plus the new sub! Gonna have to tuck some wires when time allows. Im also looking for NAV head units with disc capability.
