Will see how long the 3D badges last. I was looking for OEM fitted mats for my 2017 Kia Forte5 SX and stumbled across this manufacturer so I ordered a set for both vehicles. I think they will work just fine and are superior to the stock units that came wit the Taco. Ship to my door was 2 days which was better than the Weathertech which was going to be 40 days.

It's my first time using CRC cosmoline, though others in my wheeling club have used it many years and swear by it. I used Fluid Film the previous winter. After just one month, all the exposed surfaces had Fluid Film wash away and resumed rusting, while the nooks and crannies attracted a lot of dirt from wheeling this summer. Cosmoline should address both of these shortcomings of Fluid Film.

My boss has weathertechs in his tundra and theyve warped quite a bit in the front. The surface on the back of those 3D Maxspyders or whatever they're called seems to stick to the carpets way better, with my experience in the buick at least.

Thanks for the response and I may grab some of these. Item description in the link says “dark amber” color. Is it colored when first allied and clears up as it dries? Hoping to keep a fairly clean finish.

Had an old beater truck that was covered with the rubberized undercoating and was always a mess doing touch-up / re-apply.

I've used the equivalent from Amsoil (Heavy Duty MP) for quite a few years (20+) and was in MN for most of that. Fantastic product! The CRC would be my "go to" if I couldn't get the Amsoil one.
Used other CRC products in aviation with great results.

It is inconvenient having it in only small spray cans, but the formula would change if it was moved to large buckets & spray adapters. I'd rather keep the good formula and deal with the extra application effort.

Keeps the gold color. Not for show, but pure protection only.

I ordered one on the Mountain Hatch tailgate panels on the Black Friday deal for 20% off. Got it yesterday and installed last night when I got home. The holes were slightly off, and I started working around the edge and alternating tightening them down back and forth. Doing that, the last hole was much better aligned by that point.
Taped to the back of the panel was a bag with 4 10mm hex head screws. I thought they were an answer to the short screw issue some have reported but wanted to confirm that so I emailed them at about 730p CST. I got an answer in 4 minutes saying yes, they are for the 4 screws along the bottom of the panel so that the inserts are fully engaged.
Totally understand previous reports of poor service and known issue problems. Maybe that's changed at least for a sample size of 1.

The new screws that are included with the panels.

Nice! What did you use to seal the front of the bed? I am getting mine shipped on 18 Dec and I want to be prepared.

Have the diamond back as well. Did not use anything thing on install to seal it and it has kept out the dust and rain. It seals well around the top of the bed. The tailgate is not weatherproof. You can get residual dust and small amounts of water around the tailgate but its not an issue with the way the diamondback seals. Some people buy extra weather sealer for the tailgate. Its not necessary for my use.

Getting rid of the chrome one step as a time. Black Tacoma badge overlay and blacked out side indicators from Tacomabeast.
