Something to do with the braking system. Ground for ABS?

No lights on the dash. Did not see any other wires chewed or broken. Haven't noticed anything while driving. Discovered this problem when I was looking for why my headlights both stopped working. I found a blown fuse on my Morimoto headlights, the fuse is on the wire (in line) that goes to the positive terminal on the battery. I wonder what caused the fuse to blow. Could this be related if I am missing that ground?

    Just solder and heat shrink?

    Thanks everyone!wire 1.jpg wire 2.jpg

Without having access to wiring diagrams, isn't that the sensor for the brake fluid level (if the brake fluid drops REALLY low (below the sensor), it would trip the dash light on? Assuming it is, the fact that the wires are open (cut) and the dash light is not on, could mean that the switch is a "normally open" switch (again, I don't have access to the diagrams right now). So if the fluid drops enough, the switch closes and activates the dash warning.

It LOOKS like someone was doing something with the wiring previously?

This is all spot on. Mouse chewed the wires. We’ve seen it before here on TW.

Thanks for the replies! That was easy.

It does look like someone was in there before. Perhaps the frame replacement? Other than that, I've had nothing done to the truck in that area. That's why I figured mice.
