yeah I went back and forth on that as well. There was the 3rd middle option, pro. That’s what I ended up with. With the Black Friday sale it wasn’t that big of a jump. I was just wondering if you felt the sports were a significant improvement over stock.

So I read the entire write up on light output on the different models here on TW, and the only reason I didn’t go with the pro’s is because they didn’t have as clean of a cutoff. I don’t want the yellow bleeding up too much and blinding people. The max has a cutoff almost identical to the sports, but a much taller beam.

the sports are 100x better than stock. I have had stock, then stock with 3000k hid’s, then Cali raised pods (they absolutely sucked).

I am happy with the sports for the price...... though I would like the taller beam that the pro and max offer.

I wasn't a big fan of all the "empty" space behind the grill--being able to directly see the AC condenser and whatnot. So I added a painted metal mesh behind the grill to fill out the space.

Also added some Oznium amber LEDs for some "faux Raptor lights". They aren't super bright, but they are bright enough for me, and they are super "low profile" if you will (can barely tell they are there when the LEDs are off.

    Pictures:
    PXL_20201001_015218375.MP.jpg PXL_20201126_233424626.MP.jpg PXL_20201126_233418253.MP.jpg PXL_20201126_233447400.MP.jpg
    PXL_20201002_021952012.MP.jpg

Also, if anyone else is interested in using these LEDs, you can see the current draw in one of the photos is at 12.0V is ~200 mA. At 14.0V it's ~260 mA.

So, I posted a couple pictures of TRD stickers that were put on today and obviously got a little bit of shit for it. Yes, I have an SR5, not a genuine TRD, and that's ok. When I bought the truck, it had old TRD decals on the bed already. I knew they were put on by someone other than the factory, but you know what, I didn't care, because it looked good. I told my wife after I bought the truck that I was going to remove them because it was not a factory TRD and she said "why, I like them on there.", so I decided why not, I do too. My truck is a very capable SR5 4x4, with lots of extras done to it, so in my humble opinion, it deserves to wear Toyota Racing Development badges. It's a Toyota Tacoma, and it will out-wheel a Colorado or Ranger any day.

For those who may be interested in replacing worn out decals or getting something different, hit up @CBoy808 from TW to have some made up.

I have TRD OR stickers on my bed... But my truck is a DCLB. So obviously not an OR model.

I assume they were put on by the PO. I don't care enough to remove them, and no one else cares, save for a few people on the internet.

You don't really need to defend yourself to random people on the internet, you just do you.

I know, I appreciate that. I just enjoy being a part of this community and absolutely love my truck. I'm not worried about a few people on the internet, I'm a cop, I'm used to it.
