The dipstick on my 2020 Tacoma is difficult to insert. Pulls out fine but really a struggle to reinsert. Any thoughts??

    Thanks in advance.

My 2017 is the same, but it gets better the more you use it. It also has a way it wants to go in and if you force it, well, it gets angry.

PS...prepare to be awarded the first "Friday" post.

Note the bend in the tube and make sure the flat part of the dipstick is the part that goes along the bend. Align it and then insert. It can be finicky.

The sharp edges on the end can also make it more difficult and scrap off metal from the tube giving the appearance of metal shavings in your oil. A minute with sandpaper solves both those problems.

Also, roughing up the faces makes it easier to read, esp just after an oil change.
