Oh the joys of driving a shitbox and someone decides to be a aggressive driver... We had a saturn that we just kept totaling out. Insurance paid us out $1500 and give us the car back, $30 at the junk yard for a new body panel (already painted to match) and Im back again.

My girl is guilty of the not-locking thing too. I’ve gotten to the point that I check her car at night before I go to bed when she’s at my house. I keep my cars locked and try to keep things like charging cables out of sight.

I wish I could have a spare. But I got a 2 car garage with 2 cars in it already, plus my truck and my wifes truck in the driveway... and 2 kids that will be driving in 8-10 years. Maybe by the time they are ready to drive I will have saved enough money to demo my current garage and build a new bigger one.

RV parking and back yard access for parking is how I got around my parking issues. That said my Taco typically gets parked on the street in front of my house. A friend recently asked me if I’d be interested in renting a room to his son. I told him not if he has a car, I’m out of space LOL!

I park on the side of the house in the winter when the ground is frozen, but short of that I cant get a car into the back yard due to hills and fences on either side. But most of the people in my neighborhood have garage doors on the backs of their garages so they just pull through.

And this is why my wife doesn’t drive my truck, she has her jeep. And there’s no eating in it for awhile anyway. Any/all spill hazards do in the bed.

And to put things in perspective, she drops food when eating and spilled a jumbo sugary soda on her jeep seat and it went everywhere. Can’t live with them, can’t live without them.

Hey, I hear ya... Bought a brand new Corolla 20 years ago. Had it two weeks. Go to the grocery store. I parked in the most absolute furthest spot away as possible. And I mean like 100 yards away.
Come out the door and what do I see? A shopping cart rolling thru the lot headed straight towards guess who. Told the wife 'Take the wheel!' (Grocery cart) and ran after it. I was a little bit short of catching it.
Good news was it dented it, but was a pretty soft dent that one of those suction-cup pullers popped right back out. The little nick in the paint, I fixed with one of those little paint bottles with a brush on the end of it.
But it was still one of those 'WTF!!! moments.. What Car Gods did I piss off this time!?' LOL!

No shit... The women-folk just don't 'get' the bond of a guy and his truck .. (Or a lot of other rigs) ... *
But God Help You if you forget to put the toilet seat down ...

    * Had a 69' Roadrunner once. 440 - six pack - 4 speed - etc etc. Also had a GF. She said to me once 'You love that stupid CAR more than you do me!' .. And I sat there for a minute and then said 'You know what? You're right!'
I got a new GF soon after.

I mean really, we don't complain about women leaving the seat down!

My reply to the love part would be "well yeah the car doesn't talk back!"

I busted my perpetrator - it happened as I was walking into the store. Still a total PITA taking it to the body shop, dealing with a rental, etc.

Same here..the 5" crease in my door wasn't terrible, truth be told I couldn't even get a great picture but when the light hit it a certain way it was terrible. Good part is my wife was working from home that week and my brother in law is a body man..so as seamless as possible at least.

LOL I have one but I was an idiot and ran into a barbed wire fence backing up. My fault totally but just gives me an excuse to get a nice rear aftermarket bumper!

I need a "tad" bit more trail damage before the wife lets me go full front and rear.

I have to be VERY careful as she knows my Modding addiction from our 93 YJ....years ago I used to bash the hell out of it just to get new parts...LOL.

She is way more astute to my "trail damage/need upgrade" than I thought nowadays.... ;)

This is one reason why I like the new feature of being able to check the status of the truck from your phone - you can lock, start and unlock the car from anywhere you are.

Good point, although she still uses a key to unlock her car. For the first year we were together I thought she’d lost or never got the remotes for either of her cars, then I found them all in a drawer. She refuses to use them because they take-up too much room on her key chain

I’m one to talk though, I still haven’t set-up the Toyota App. I do use keyless entry though so I’m calling that progress :D
