Festive AF

Did a trip down South for a kayak dive. Tucked away beach with bad lava path. We had the beach to ourselves. It was good to exercise the truck off road. I finally ran into a whale shark! To see one was amazing. It came out of the depths as I was coming up from a dive (followed me up), so of course it was a "WTF is that?" moment at first.

Getting 255/85/r16 ST Maxx's installed while writing this post.. replacing 245/75/r16 Ko2's.

Should add a little over an inch of ground clearance after all said and done, and motivate an accelerated timeline on my regear project (move from 3.73 to 4.30). Loved the Ko2's, but doesnt come in a 255/85/16r

Simple one today. AJT dash knobs and black steering wheel emblem. Also order the black oem steering wheel controls, center console, and radio bezel.

Nice, they definitely fill out the front wheel wells much better. Whats the lift specs?

Got addicted to a couple years back. It's definitely great therapy too on many levels. I was fortunate to find a place where they discard hard wood pallets and finally got to make a kitchen table. Just out sourced the cast iron legs from Etsy. Searching materials on Craigs list has been a new routine with my coffee in the morning now. Looking forward to working with some live edge I recently picked up for my camper.

definitely much better fit in the wheel well.

With ome suspension and spc uca’s I got about 2.25 in front and 2.75 in rear. No spacers.

Exactly! I have a Prerunner with 6” lift. Some people talk shit about the 2wd trucks. Where I live there is no place close to 4 wheel so there’s no need for 4wd. We all have Tacos and should support each other. It’s easy to just scroll past a post if you don’t like what the person has done to their truck. Negative comments need to stay off here. Because 90% of TRD OR owners remove and replace almost all the TRD components anyway, it shouldn’t matter the starting platform

I replaced the catalytic converter assembly and also removed the exhaust system behind the two-bolt flange. Autozone told me that the muffler assembly is coming tomorrow afternoon. So I guess I'm ready.

What I would really like to know is: What do you all suggest to keep the frame from rusting out more?

If it gets to looking dangerous I'll weld on a bunch of steel - but until then: hose it down with drain oil? Hydroblast it clean and paint it? Douse it with rust converter?

What say you?
