I have Night and Day contacts - put them in and forget about them for 30 days. I've used them for at least 15 years and would never go back to daily wear contacts. Not having to mess with poking myself in the eyes every morning is fantastic, especially since I can only really see up to about 3 feet away without them. :p

I have a pair of glasses that are about 4 years old that I haven't even taken out of the case in 2 years.

    Mornin’ guys!
I wear contacts, not too bad of vision, but enough that it’s hard to see far off.
You never know with the grinding dust, once I was using a cutoff wheel and had my safety glasses on, a piece of hot grinding slag made its way between my glasses and cheek and went right into my eye. I thought I was in big trouble because it felt like it hit hard and was really scratchy when I blinked. Went inside to see how bad it was and to my amazement, the sliver of hot slag melted smack dab into the middle of my contact and was stuck there! Had to toss the contact, but I always wonder how that would have turned out if I wasn’t a contact wearer!
One other funny thing I have noticed about being a contact wearer, is that it gives me super powers while cutting onions! I guess they shield my eyes enough that I don’t tear up! :bananadance:

I am extremely near sighted. I can only see clearly up to about 7" in front of my eyes. Past that, I can see general shapes but no details.

Eyes are ok, but gradually getting ruined from all the years of computer work. Expect I'll have to get glasses in the next 5 ish years or so.

I never thought about it being the contacts. I don't have any problems cutting onions but my wife's eyes water like I just told her I want a divorce.

Never even given contacts a thought.
Glasses are bifocal. I tried progress lenses. It didn't work out.

My wife had Lasik done about 20nyears ago and in the last year has had issues here and there. She went and got checked and her vision is 20/15, turns out her eyes were getting dry because of the masks they wear all day at work. Lubricating rops a couple times a day has taken care of that.
Nope. :( Hope everything is alright.

One other note on my contacts, my eyes have been the same for about 25 years so I haven't needed to worry about keeping the lefts and rights separate. Keeps things easy. :D
